Maria is a registered clinical social worker who provides therapy to those who seek to live a more fulfilling life by building self-esteem and self-compassion, strengthening relationships, and developing the motivation to take on new challenges.

Maria works primarily with adults, and offers both virtual and in-person sessions. She welcomes people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, cultures and spiritual beliefs.

Many people have doubts and anxieties that prevent them from living the life they want. This can include a fear of helplessness, loneliness, conflict, rejection, or loss. Maria will work with you to increase your sense of inner strength, motivation, independence, safety, and connection with others. She is trained to assist with a variety of issues including:

• Anxiety
• Depression
• Self-worth and self-compassion
• Life transitions (grief, loss, and anticipation of loss)
• Building stronger relationships (family, friendships, and community)

Maria has more than ten years of experience working with individuals and families. She began her career as a school counsellor, and later provided mental health support to patients in hospital, before entering private practice. Maria holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Manitoba. She has training in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy. 

Services of a registered clinical social worker (MSW RSW) are covered under many private insurance plans. Direct billing is not offered at this time. Please check with your insurance provider for more information on your specific coverage.
